destinations, and of course, several feet of new snow
at area ski and board resorts. The airport offers 182

travelers to get down to business — in the boardroom or
on the slopes — with ease.

Big Snow Hits Lake Tahoe
This weekend’s series of storms has left Lake Tahoe with
awesome mid-winter skiing and riding conditions. Now’s
the time to plan your dream winter vacation to seven world-class
Ski Lake Tahoe resorts — Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, Kirkwood,
Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe™, Sierra-at-Tahoe®
and Squaw Valley USA. No other ski destination in North America
has that perfect combination of big snow, big mountains, fantastic
nightlife and entertainment and the spectacular blue of North America’s
largest alpine lake. Visit Ski Lake Tahoe
for all your vacation planning needs,
including a a new interactive map,
an online travel planner
and up-to-date snow conditions for all seven resorts.
Unique Winter Excursions Expand Tahoe Horizons
North Lake Tahoe has been an adventure haven for skiers since the
late 1800s and today boasts the largest concentration of ski resorts
in the country. But there is just as much to do off-the-beaten path.
Visitors can get an exclusive glimpse of spectacular Sierra Nevada
backcountry while dog sledding via Alaskan huskies led by an experienced
musher. Four-to-20 mile tours are available as are moonlight expeditions.
Skiers, boarders and snowshoers can explore the Sierra Crest without having
to snow camp by taking rustic refuge in Sierra Club huts. The huts are about
a day’s journey from various trailheads. Ice fishermen can head to Boca,
Prosser and Stampede Reservoirs as well as various frozen lakes throughout
the area. For more information about winter activities and for complete
vacation planning, call North Lake Tahoe at 1-877-949-3296 or
visit online.
