 Mobile Ski Updates Now in Reno-Tahoe
Skiers on their way to Lake Tahoe are now able to access information
on road conditions, ski conditions, hotel packages and ski resort
information from their mobile phones at a new Web site by the Nevada
Commission on Tourism, skitravelnevada.mobi.
The mobile site pulls “feeds” from each ski resort into one place
that is designed to be compatible with mobile phones. Travelers
already en-route to their destination and unsure of upcoming weather
or road conditions can check the latest reports updated instantly
from the Nevada Department of Transportation. The mobile site features “click
to call” phone numbers that connect directly with hotels and ski
resorts. For those who want this information but don’t have an

Kirkwood Kicks off 2008-09 Season with New Lifts
Kirkwood Mountain Resort can’t wait to officially kick off the
2008-09 winter season with two new lifts, revamped terrain parks
and completed renovations to its Timber Creek Learning Facility.

South Pacific In Carson City
South Pacific, one of the greatest musicals of all time, graces the stage at
the Carson City Community Center, November 8 – 23. The epic love story set in
the South Pacific islands during World War II won nine Tony Awards for such memorable
songs as “There Is Nothing Like A Dame,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Ha’i,” “Wash
That Man Right Outta My Hair” and more. A Western Nevada Musical Theater Company
